Our building plans include all of the drawings typically needed for construction. Because we are a residential design firm, we do not provide drawings stamped by an architect or engineer. Although this is not usually required there are exceptions, such as in hurricane- or earthquake-prone areas, extremely sloped lots, and other areas. Many states and counties amend the codes in their area, so be sure to consult your local building officials to determine the plan, code and site requirements. Why complicate the process with a lot of detailed questions? To help you think of things you may not have thought of before. Also, when you have to articulate your goals for a new home, it will help guide you toward features that enable your goals.

Did you know that many local codes do not require a 120V electrical outlet in the laundry room other than the one needed for the washing machine?
